‘The Roses of Heliogabalus is a recreation of the 1888 painting by the Anglo-Dutch artist Sir Lawrence Alm-Tadema. The scene depicted in his painting is of the life of the Roman Emperor Elagabalus smothering his unsuspecting guests with rose petals released from a false ceiling’

This was the premise for Viv’s incredible installation for Flowering Now 2019 at new space Sense of Self.
