‘We both love music and spend a lot of time dancing in our kitchen together when making meals so the songs we chose throughout the day were important for us. We also knew how emotional our ceremony could be for us so we wanted to set a lively party tone for our ceremony. And because we spent time together before our ceremony, there wasn’t a build up for us seeing each other for the first time at our ceremony, so we walked (danced) down the aisle together to Father John Misty’s Real Love as it is a kitchen favourite then once married ran down the aisle covered in rose petals to The Cure’s Friday I’m in love. This meant we started our celebration together, as equals, hand in hand, the way we plan to spend our lives.’
